🚐🌊 The RV Becomes a Submarine! 🌊🚐
One sunny Saturday morning, Dragon Claw landed gently beside the RV with a huge grin.
“I’ve got an idea!”
he announced.
Chad’s ears perked up.
“Is it pirates?”
Agaricus tilted her head.
“Is it exploring?”
Echo stretched excitedly.
“Does it go fast?”
Che-Ni-Mon hugged her blanket.
“…Is it safe?”
Lily yawned.
“…Will there be somewhere to nap?”
Dragon Claw laughed.
“…Yes.”
“…To all of those.”
Mom stepped outside holding a rolled-up blueprint.
“Today…”
she smiled,
“…we’re turning the RV…”
“…into a submarine!”
The cats gasped.
“A SUBMARINE?!”
🔧 The Transformation
Dragon Claw carefully helped Mom install giant glass windows.
Big propellers.
A shiny periscope.
Special underwater lights.
And…
A bubble machine.
Chad pressed a button.
POP!
Hundreds of bubbles floated around the RV.
“I already love it!”
Once everything was ready…
Dragon Claw gently carried the RV across the country.
Soon…
They arrived at the beautiful beaches of Virginia.
“The ocean is so big!”
said Agaricus.
Mom smiled.
“Ready?”
She pushed one giant red button.
WHIRRRR…
The wheels folded away.
Tiny fins appeared.
The propellers began spinning.
The RV slowly rolled into the water.
Splash!
Down…
Down…
Down…
They gently floated beneath the waves.
🐬 Dolphins!
The first visitors arrived almost immediately.
A pod of playful dolphins swam alongside the submarine.
“They’re racing us!”
laughed Echo.
She hurried to one window.
The dolphins leaped through the water beside them.
“They’re so fast!”
Dragon Claw happily swam outside for a moment.
The dolphins circled him playfully before swimming away.
“They invited me to play tag!”
he laughed.
🦈 Sharks
Farther out…
A large shark slowly swam into view.
Che-Ni-Mon’s eyes became enormous.
“…Shark.”
She disappeared underneath her blanket.
The shark swam closer…
Looked through the window…
And…
Yawned.
“…He looks sleepy.”
said Lily.
The shark lazily swam away.
Che-Ni-Mon peeked out.
“…He wasn’t scary.”
“He was just having a relaxing swim.”
Mom smiled.
🪽 Rays
A few minutes later…
Several graceful rays glided beneath the submarine.
“They look like they’re flying!”
said Agaricus.
The rays flapped their fins so smoothly they seemed to dance through the water.
Echo quietly watched them.
“I’ve never seen anything move so gracefully.”
🐟 Tuna
Suddenly…
An enormous school of tuna rushed past.
“WHOOOSH!”
The entire ocean seemed to shimmer silver.
Chad pressed both paws against the window.
“There are hundreds!”
“No…”
Agaricus corrected.
“…Thousands!”
The fish moved together like one giant sparkling ribbon.
🐢 More Ocean Friends
The adventure continued.
A gentle sea turtle slowly waved one flipper as it swam by.
A curious octopus changed colors while hiding among the rocks.
Tiny clownfish peeked from colorful sea anemones.
A pufferfish puffed into a funny little ball.
A bright blue crab marched sideways across the sandy bottom.
Even a playful seal swam circles around the submarine before giving everyone a cheerful bark.
Every window showed something wonderful.
🐉 Dragon Claw’s Dive
Dragon Claw asked Mom,
“May I swim for a little while?”
Mom nodded.
“But stay where we can see you.”
Dragon Claw happily slipped into the water.
He twirled through the bubbles.
A dolphin swam beside him.
A sea turtle joined them.
Even the curious seal came back to play.
The cats cheered through the glass.
“Go, Dragon Claw!”
🌅 Homeward Bound
As the sun began setting above the ocean…
Mom gently steered the submarine toward the surface.
Splash!
The RV floated back onto the waves.
She pressed the big red button once more.
WHIRRRR…
The fins folded away.
The wheels returned.
The submarine…
Was an RV again.
Dragon Claw carefully lifted it into the sky.
As they flew home…
Everyone talked about their favorite animal.
“Dolphins!”
said Echo.
“Rays!”
said Agaricus.
“The giant school of tuna!”
said Chad.
“The sleepy shark.”
said Che-Ni-Mon with a smile.
“…The nap afterward.”
said Lily.
Dragon Claw chuckled.
“I liked making new ocean friends.”
Mom looked around at her little family.
“So…”
she asked.
“…where should our RV go next?”
The cats all smiled.
“Oh…”
said Chad.
“…somewhere amazing.”
The stars slowly appeared above them as Dragon Claw carried the RV toward home.
Below…
The Atlantic Ocean sparkled in the moonlight.
And somewhere beneath those waves…
A few dolphins, sharks, rays, tuna, turtles, and many other sea creatures were probably wondering…
If they’d ever see that funny little submarine RV again.
