Guardins of the RV

Once upon a time, in a cozy little RV parked beneath a sky full of twinkling stars, there lived two brave kitten brothers named Chad and Agaricus Bisporus.

Chad was orange and fearless. He believed every problem could be solved with courage, a mighty pounce, and occasionally a dramatic speech.

Agaricus Bisporus, a fluffy cream-colored kitten, was clever and thoughtful. He preferred plans, puzzles, and snacks.

Together, they cared for their younger cat siblings: tiny Echo, sleepy Biscuit, mischievous Bean, and little Noodle.

Life in the RV was peaceful… until one moonlit night.

THUMP.

The entire RV shook.

THUMP.

The dishes rattled.

THUMP.

The kittens woke with a start.

From outside came a terrible growl.

“RRRRAAAOOOOWWWWW!”

Chad peeked through the window.

His fur stood straight up.

“A dragon!” he gasped.

Sure enough, perched on top of the RV was a massive dragon with glowing green eyes and shiny black scales. Smoke puffed from its nose as it wrapped its tail around the air conditioner.

The younger kittens huddled together.

“Are we gonna be eaten?” squeaked Noodle.

Chad puffed out his chest.

“Not while we’re here.”

Agaricus adjusted an imaginary pair of glasses.

“We need a plan.”

The dragon roared again, causing the RV to wobble.

The brothers climbed onto the roof through a small emergency hatch.

The night wind blew through their whiskers.

The dragon towered above them.

“I am DRAGON CLAW!” the beast boomed.

“I claim this RV as my treasure!”

Chad stepped forward.

“This RV is our home!”

“And our siblings are sleeping inside,” added Agaricus.

The dragon laughed.

“What can two tiny kittens do?”

Chad looked at Agaricus.

Agaricus looked at Chad.

Then they both smiled.

They knew exactly what to do.

Phase One: The Distraction.

Chad sprinted across the roof, zigzagging faster than a laser pointer dot.

The dragon chased him, stomping and slipping.

“Catch me if you can, lizard breath!” Chad yelled.

The dragon roared and lunged.

Meanwhile…

Phase Two: The Secret Weapon.

Agaricus crept behind the dragon carrying something powerful.

Something legendary.

Something no creature could resist.

A can of tuna.

The scent drifted through the night air.

The dragon stopped.

Its nostrils twitched.

“Wait…”

Sniff.

Sniff.

“Is that…”

Agaricus opened the can.

The dragon’s eyes grew enormous.

“TUNA?!”

Before the dragon could react, Chad leapt from a vent and landed squarely on the dragon’s nose.

BOOP!

The dragon crossed its eyes.

Agaricus slid the tuna can across the roof.

The dragon chased it.

Unfortunately for Dragon Claw, the tuna rolled right into a large laundry basket the kittens had placed earlier.

The dragon dove after it.

WHOOMPH!

The basket tipped.

The dragon tumbled inside.

Round and round it rolled down the RV roof and landed gently in a pile of cushions beside the RV.

Dazed and covered in socks, Dragon Claw blinked.

“Defeated… by kittens…”

Chad stood proudly atop the roof.

Agaricus nodded wisely.

“Teamwork beats size.”

The dragon sighed.

“You’re right.”

Then something surprising happened.

Dragon Claw began to cry.

“I wasn’t trying to hurt anyone. I was lonely.”

The brothers looked at each other.

Even brave heroes know when to show kindness.

“Well,” said Chad, “you could join us.”

“We have room by the RV,” said Agaricus.

“And plenty of tuna.”

The dragon’s eyes sparkled.

“Really?”

“Really.”

From that night forward, Dragon Claw became the RV’s protector.

Whenever coyotes wandered too close, he scared them away.

Whenever storms rolled in, he shielded the RV with his wings.

And every evening, Chad, Agaricus Bisporus, their siblings, and their dragon friend would sit beneath the stars sharing tuna and stories.

As for the younger kittens?

They slept soundly, knowing their home was protected by the bravest brothers in the world.

And if you listen very carefully on a quiet night, you might still hear Chad shouting:

“FOR THE RV!”

Followed by Agaricus yelling:

“And FOR THE TUNA!”
