🎭🐱 Charades Night at the RV 🐱🎭

One rainy afternoon, the RV Guardians had run out of ideas.

No pirate adventures.

No camping.

No treasure hunts.

Just rain tapping gently on the RV roof.

Chad sighed dramatically.

"...I'm bored."

"So am I."

said Agaricus.

Mom smiled.

She reached into the game cabinet.

"How about..."

"...Charades?"

The cats gathered in a circle.

Dragon Claw rested his giant head beside the open RV window so he could play too.

Mom shuffled a stack of little cards.

"No talking."

she explained.

"Only acting."

Chad grinned.

"I was born for this."

🎭 Round One

Mom handed Chad the first card.

He looked at it.

"...Easy."

Chad immediately began spinning.

Sliding across the RV floor.

Pretending to balance.

Then spinning again.

Echo guessed first.

"Dancing?"

"No."

said Mom.

Che-Ni-Mon tilted her head.

"Slipping?"

"No."

Agaricus watched Chad carefully.

"...Ice skating?"

Mom smiled.

"Correct!"

Chad pumped both paws into the air.

"I've never even seen ice skates!"

🎭 Round Two

Agaricus picked the next card.

She looked at it.

"...Hmm."

She climbed onto the couch.

Nobody guessed.

She climbed onto the kitchen counter.

Still nothing.

Finally...

She climbed to the very highest point inside the RV.

The little storage shelf near the ceiling.

The others watched nervously.

"What are you doing?"

asked Chad.

Agaricus smiled.

She found a little plastic grocery bag.

Carefully held it against her chest with both front paws...

Then...

She jumped.

The bag floated gently behind her as she drifted to the couch.

Silence.

"...Flying?"

asked Echo.

"No."

"Parachuting?"

asked Che-Ni-Mon.

"No."

Dragon Claw suddenly smiled.

"Skydiving!"

Mom clapped.

"That's it!"

Agaricus bowed dramatically.

🎭 Round Three

Che-Ni-Mon nervously picked a card.

She looked at it.

"...Oh no."

She slowly looked toward Dragon Claw.

Then back at the card.

She raised both paws.

"...Rawr?"

Dragon Claw blinked.

"...Me?"

Che-Ni-Mon nodded excitedly.

She spread imaginary wings.

Pretended to breathe fire.

Then smiled at Dragon Claw.

Everyone shouted together.

"DRAGON CLAW!"

Che-Ni-Mon smiled proudly.

"I did it!"

Dragon Claw laughed so hard the RV gently shook.

🎭 Round Four

Lily lazily picked the next card.

She looked at it.

Placed the card face down.

Curled into the softest blanket.

Closed her eyes.

Thirty seconds passed.

"...Sleep."

said everyone.

Mom laughed.

"Correct."

Lily never even opened her eyes.

🎭 Final Round

Echo grinned as she picked the last card.

She looked at it.

"...Oh."

A mischievous smile spread across her face.

She stood up on her back legs.

Let her front paws dangle dramatically.

She slowly leaned backward.

Then sighed dramatically.

"Ohhh..."

she groaned dramatically, pretending to be exhausted.

She looked around with an exaggerated expression, shuffled around the RV, and acted as though the weight of the world was on her shoulders.

Then she mimed typing on an invisible keyboard...

Looked at an imaginary clock...

Sighed again...

And flopped dramatically onto the couch.

The room became silent.

Dragon Claw whispered,

"...What... is she?"

Che-Ni-Mon guessed,

"A sleepy bear?"

"No."

Chad scratched his head.

"A really tired pirate?"

"No."

Agaricus suddenly burst into laughter.

"I KNOW!"

"...A human!"

Echo immediately pointed at Agaricus.

Mom couldn't stop laughing.

"That's right!"

Echo continued the act.

She slowly stood back up...

Pretended to carry a mountain of responsibilities...

Looked dramatically into the distance...

Then sighed one last time before flopping back onto the couch.

By now...

Everyone was laughing.

Dragon Claw laughed so hard he accidentally blew a tiny puff of smoke.

Che-Ni-Mon rolled onto her back laughing.

Even Lily opened one eye.

"...Okay..."

"...that one was funny."

Echo finally dropped the act.

"I don't know why..."

she laughed,

"...but humans always look so busy."

Mom smiled and shook her head.

"We can be."

The laughter slowly faded into warm smiles.

Outside, the rain finally stopped.

Inside, the RV felt warmer than ever.

Mom gathered all the cards.

"So..."

she smiled.

"What game next?"

Without missing a beat, everyone shouted together—

"UNO!"

The RV filled with excited paws, happy meows, and Dragon Claw's gentle laughter as another cozy evening with the RV Guardians continued.
