π πΎ The Falling Star πΎπ
One peaceful evening, the RV Guardians had finished dinner.
The sky was clear.
The air was cool.
Thousands of stars twinkled above the little RV.
Mom spread a big blanket outside.
"Come on, everyone."
"Tonight..."
"...we're going stargazing."
The five cats hurried outside.
Dragon Claw settled beside the RV, wrapping his giant tail around himself as he looked toward the sky.
Nobody spoke.
They simply watched.
A shooting star suddenly streaked across the darkness.
"LOOK!"
shouted Chad.
The bright streak disappeared just as quickly as it had appeared.
Mom smiled.
"My grandma always used to say..."
"...when you see a falling star..."
"...you can make a wish."
The cats all looked up.
"A secret wish?"
asked Agaricus.
Mom nodded.
"A secret one."
"If you tell it..."
"...it might not come true."
Everyone became very quiet.
Each one secretly closed their eyes.
And made a wish.
No one said what they wished for.
Not even Dragon Claw.
The next morning...
The wishes remained secret.
But something curious began to happen.
π± Chad
While playing outside, Chad discovered something shiny buried near the RV.
"A treasure!"
He dug as fast as he could.
Only to discover...
An old bottle cap.
"It isn't pirate treasure..."
he sighed.
Dragon Claw smiled.
"It may not be gold..."
"...but you still found something no one else noticed."
Chad proudly added the bottle cap to his "Treasure Collection."
Maybe...
That counted.
πͺ½ Agaricus
Later that morning...
A butterfly landed on Agaricus's nose.
It stayed there.
For almost a whole minute.
She giggled without moving.
"It's beautiful."
When it finally flew away...
It circled around her once...
As if saying goodbye.
Maybe...
That counted too.
βοΈ Echo
Echo spent the afternoon trying to jump onto the highest branch of a nearby tree.
She had never reached it before.
Today...
She did.
She stood proudly at the very top.
"I knew I could."
Or...
Had the wish helped?
Nobody knew.
π§Έ Che-Ni-Mon
Che-Ni-Mon was walking carefully around the RV.
When she realized something.
She hadn't jumped once all morning.
No scary noises.
No surprises.
No running away.
She smiled.
"I've had a really peaceful day."
Then...
A pinecone fell behind her.
"AHHH!"
She jumped.
Everyone laughed.
Even Che-Ni-Mon.
"It was peaceful..."
"...while it lasted."
π΄ Lily
Lily found the perfect napping spot beneath a tree.
Soft grass.
Warm sunshine.
Cool breeze.
Not once...
Did anyone accidentally wake her.
She slept for hours.
When she woke...
She stretched.
"...Excellent."
Maybe...
That was her wish.
π Dragon Claw
Dragon Claw spent the afternoon practicing his fire.
Without even realizing it...
His flames danced in beautiful spirals.
Little golden sparks floated through the air like tiny stars.
The cats clapped.
Dragon Claw smiled.
"I've never done that before."
Had he simply improved?
Or...
Had his wish come true?
That evening...
Everyone gathered outside once again.
Mom smiled.
"So..."
"Did anyone's wish come true?"
The cats looked at one another.
Nobody answered.
Because nobody wanted to reveal their secret wish.
Instead...
They each smiled.
Just then...
Another shooting star crossed the sky.
Everyone quietly watched it disappear.
This time...
Nobody made another wish.
They already had everything they needed.
A warm RV.
A loving Mom.
A gentle dragon.
Five siblings.
And another wonderful day together.
As the stars filled the sky, Dragon Claw quietly looked upward.
"...Do you think..."
he whispered,
"...the stars really grant wishes?"
Mom smiled.
"I don't know."
She looked around at the little family gathered beside her.
"...Maybe."
"...Or maybe..."
"...when kind hearts spend the day together..."
"...it just feels that way."
The cats looked up at the stars one last time.
None of them ever told their wishes.
And no one ever discovered...
Whether the falling star had truly been magical...
Or whether it had simply been one of those perfect days...
That feels like a wish come true.
