☁️🏴☠️ The RV Guardians vs. Enel of the Sky ☁️⚡
One bright afternoon, Chad burst onto the couch wearing his pirate hat.
“I’ve got it!”
he shouted.
Agaricus Bisporus looked up from her map.
“What now?”
“We’re going to Sky Island!”
Echo immediately stood up.
“Is there fighting?”
“Definitely.”
Che-Ni-Mon looked nervous.
“…Is there falling?”
“…Probably.”
“I’ll start being scared now.”
Lily didn’t even look up from her nap.
“I’m staying here.”
“You’re not coming?” asked Chad.
Lily yawned.
“I already reached Sky Island.”
“You did?”
She patted her pillow.
“It’s called a nap.”
Nobody argued with Lily.
Outside, Dragon Claw smiled.
“So…”
he asked,
“Where exactly is Sky Island?”
Chad pointed dramatically toward the clouds.
“Up there!”
Dragon Claw laughed.
“I can do that.”
He carefully wrapped his enormous claws around the RV.
His giant wings spread wide.
FWOOSH!
The RV lifted into the sky.
Higher…
Higher…
Higher…
Until the clouds became fluffy islands beneath them.
“We made it!”
cheered Chad.
Welcome to…
Skypiea!
The floating islands were beautiful.
Cloud rivers flowed through the sky.
Cloud trees swayed gently.
Everything looked peaceful.
Until…
“ARF!”
A group of dogs surrounded the RV.
Big dogs.
Small dogs.
Fluffy dogs.
Serious dogs.
The kittens prepared for battle.
Chad stretched his paws.
“Gum-Gum…”
The dogs barked.
Then one old sheepdog stepped forward.
“Wait.”
The cats blinked.
“…You can talk?”
asked Chad.
“So can you.”
the sheepdog replied.
“Fair.”
The old dog sighed.
“You’ve come because of Enel… haven’t you?”
Agaricus nodded.
“We heard he’s trying to make a dogs-only world.”
Every dog lowered its head.
“We don’t want that.”
said the sheepdog.
“We love our cat neighbors.”
“We love birds.”
said another.
“And rabbits.”
“And everyone else.”
“Enel says only dogs deserve Sky Island.”
The dogs looked ashamed.
“We don’t agree.”
Chad smiled.
“Then let us pass.”
“We’ll stop him.”
The dogs looked at one another.
Then stepped aside.
“Please…”
said the old sheepdog.
“…free Sky Island.”
The RV Guardians continued onward.
At the highest cloud stood a massive golden temple.
Lightning crackled around it.
Thunder echoed through the sky.
A voice boomed across the clouds.
“I…”
“…AM GOD!”
⚡
Enel descended from above.
Lightning danced around him.
Clouds swirled beneath his feet.
“You dare challenge me?”
Chad stepped forward.
“I challenge anybody who wants to make a world where only one kind of animal belongs.”
Enel laughed.
“You are only kittens.”
“Correction.”
said Agaricus.
“One kitten.”
She pointed toward Chad.
“…with terrible ideas.”
“They’re legendary ideas.”
Chad corrected.
“Questionable.”
“Legendary.”
“Questionable.”
Enel interrupted.
“I grow tired of this.”
A bolt of lightning shot toward the crew.
Dragon Claw spread his enormous wings.
BOOM!
The lightning splashed harmlessly across his scales.
Dragon Claw smiled.
“I’ve always wanted to do that.”
The battle began.
Echo leapt first.
“Three-Claw Style!”
She darted across the clouds faster than lightning.
WHOOSH!
She scratched through bolts of electricity.
Leaped over clouds.
Ran across Dragon Claw’s back.
Then accidentally ran the wrong direction.
“Echo!”
shouted Agaricus.
“Wrong villain!”
“I knew that!”
Echo yelled while turning around.
Che-Ni-Mon hid behind Dragon Claw’s enormous tail.
“I’M HELPING!”
A tiny cloud rolled beneath her paws.
She slipped.
Accidentally launched a cloud puff straight into Enel’s face.
Enel blinked.
“…Did…”
“…did I just get hit by a cloud?”
“I meant to do that!”
Che-Ni-Mon declared proudly.
Agaricus spread her wings.
“Tori-Tori Fruit!”
She soared into the sky.
Circling Enel.
Distracting him from above.
“Chad!”
“Now!”
Chad grinned.
He stretched one paw.
Then another.
Then both.
“GUM-GUM…”
His paws stretched around clouds…
Around Dragon Claw…
Around an entire floating island…
“…SKY ROCKET!”
BOOOOOOM!
Chad flew through the sky like a giant rubber comet.
He bonked Enel square on the forehead.
Enel spun through the clouds.
His lightning disappeared.
The storm faded.
Sunlight broke through.
The clouds became peaceful once more.
Far below, the dogs began cheering.
“We’re free!”
“No more dogs-only world!”
The old sheepdog smiled.
“You’ve reminded everyone that Sky Island belongs to everyone willing to share it.”
Back at the RV…
Lily looked out the window.
She had watched the entire adventure while comfortably wrapped in her blanket.
When everyone climbed back aboard…
Chad was covered in cloud fluff.
Echo had somehow collected three feathers.
Agaricus looked exhausted.
Che-Ni-Mon proudly claimed she had defeated at least “half the lightning.”
Dragon Claw laughed so hard the RV shook.
Lily smiled.
“So…”
“Did you save Sky Island?”
“We sure did!”
said Chad.
Lily nodded.
“Good.”
Then she curled up again.
“I saved the couch.”
Nobody questioned it.
Dragon Claw spread his wings.
The RV gently lifted from Sky Island.
As they sailed home beneath a sunset painted across the clouds, the cats looked back one last time.
The dogs waved happily from below.
And Sky Island belonged to everyone once again.
